Phoenix Mercury guard Skylar Diggins-Smith is no stranger to a viral play across her time with the franchise and another one was added to the career highlight reel on Friday.
While facing the Seattle Storm in Phoenix, Diggins-Smith came around an action for a dribble handoff in the fourth quarter.
With some separation created, Diggins-Smith took advantage of her defender Stephanie Talbot needing to recover. A simple crossover at the top of the key did the trick, sending Talbot falling to the floor with a bit of a slide and roll to boot.

It was the perfect night for that play to come down on, as Diggins-Smith tied her career-high of 35 points to go with six rebounds and six assists. She shot 12-of-19 from the floor in Phoenix’s 94-78 win.
A meeting with Seattle produced a little bit of extra motivation for the Mercury. Former center Tina Charles left Phoenix in late June before she signed with the Storm. Charles was booed by the Phoenix crowd at Footprint Center.
