Let’s try something new here.
Roberry. I’m pretty sure I’m committing it right now. Why do I say this? Because I am stealing. Stealing an idea.
SB Nation’s Philadelphia 76ers site does something that I want to start doing here on Bright Side. After every game, they let their community choose their “Sixers Bell Ringer,” essentially their player of the game. They put up three options and let the community vote on them, then track them from game to game. It’s not a foreign idea. We do it after every game on the Suns JAM Session Podcast, calling it the “JAM Star of the Game”.
I love this idea. I’m stealing it.
I’m hoping that I can have it ready the morning after every Phoenix Suns game for you to vote upon, although I am still workshopping names for this concept. Bright Side Baller? Suns MVP? The Guy We Liked?
So I’ll start with a generic title and go from there, but let’s talk about guys from last night’s 115-112 victory over the Miami Heat. Your nominees are…
Kevin Durant
32 points (13-of-23, 4-of-11 3PT), 8 rebounds, 3 assists, 1 steal, 1 block, 6 turnovers, -1 +/-
Jusuf Nurkic
20 points (6-of-8, 3-of-3 3PT), 18 rebounds, 1 assist, 1 steal, 2 blocks, 2 turnovers, +5 +/-
Vote below, and let me know what you think of this idea.
