A quarter of Suns players are up for your review
The Phoenix Suns battled their Pacific Division…opponent…the Sacramento Kings last night,
I hesitated there because Sac Town isn’t really a rival, are they? Even though they reside in the same division as we do, I can’t think of a time in which were fighting it out for Pacific Division supremacy. Perhaps when we were tanking for draft picks? We were taking Josh Jackson while they were getting De’Aaron Fox (sigh) and we were taking Deandre Ayton while they were taking Marvin Bagley (giggle).
Oh, the thoughts that go through my mind sometimes. Anyways, let’s look at the current season standings for the Bright Side Baller, knowing that we just started this a couple of games ago:
- Kevin Durant: 1
- Jusuf Nurkic: 1
KD must be kicking himself (please don’t KD! That could put strain on your strain!). I’m sure he’d have about 6 of these things if we started at the beginning of the season. But now he is out with a calf strain, and his teammates are going to be getting the coveted acknowledgment that the Bright Side Baller brings.
Jusuf Nurkic, who scored the final 5 points in the 114-113 victory over the Dallas Mavericks, beat out KD for the Baller award from last game, garnering 39% of the vote. WHo is nominated for their efforts against the Kings? Let’s look at the nominees…
