23 point loss. Was it that bad? Does anyone deserve the Bright Side Baller?
The Phoenix Suns had one of those late games last night, an 8:00pm start for those in the AZ, against the Sacramento Kings. Looking for revenge after an overtime loss this past Sunday, the Suns fell short, losing 127-104. Their legs were heavy late, and being down Kevin Durant, Bradley Beal, and Grayson Allen took it’s toll.
Was it a moral victory? Some believe no such thing exists, but seeing the grit, determination, and fight this team had was something of value. The Kings shot the lights out, hitting 64.1% of their shots. But for three-and-a-half quarters, the Suns played within their system, were active defensively, and put pressure on Sacramento.
In the end, it was a loss. By 23 points. It’s hard to determine how much weight you put into a loss like this. Second end of a back-to-back without three solid contributors. I’ll let you the judge and jury.
