Change was a good thing in the Suns’ 109-99 win against the 76ers.
Bradley Beal goes to the bench…and the Phoenix Suns…win? Pinch me. This can’t be true. I’ve been advocating for Bench Beal for a year. Booker and Beal play the same position. Why ask one to play out of position when you can have sustainable shotmaking on all three levels for the entire game?
Been saying to do this experiment for a year… https://t.co/C5nwfNSqsK

Finally, the decision to do so was made, and it worked out. The Suns won their first game of 2025.
The Suns are yanking every lever in sight, like a drowning animal clawing for one last breath. Desperation reeks from every corner of this operation, and Monday night’s game in Philly was no exception. No one wants to trade for Beal? Fine. Let’s bench him. Maybe it’ll piss him off enough to demand an exit..or, God forbid, actually play well.
And on this particular night, Beal chose the latter.
It’s an experiment dripping with chaos, one that will undoubtedly have its ups, downs, and implosions. But hey, at least they’re trying something different. That’s better than the slow, painful march into irrelevance we’ve been watching. The Suns, who somehow stumbled to just 16 points in the first quarter, actually looked… different.
Is it progress? Maybe. Is it the right move? Time will tell. But at least they’re swinging.
