Suns fans should savor the calm before the storm hits the West.
Taking care of business…every day? Nah, let’s not get carried away. But yesterday? Oh, the Phoenix Suns absolutely handled it. They took down the Washington Wizards with a smooth 10-point win and looked damn good doing it. Sure, there were a few heart-stopping moments of chaos — that’s just NBA life — but the Suns kept it together when it mattered.
Now, we’re in the calm before the storm. From here on out, it’s going to be a grind. A rock fight. Every. Single. Night. The Suns currently sit in the eighth seed out West, riding a respectable 7–3 streak over their last 10 games. January hasn’t been perfect — hiccups and bumps along the way — but they’ve rolled with the punches and kept the train moving.
Last night was solid across the board, save for Devin Booker’s ice-cold shooting from deep. Brutal stuff. But the addition of Nick Richards? He’s making noise, especially against the NBA’s basement dwellers. He’s not saving the world, but he’s sure as hell holding down the paint when it matters.

The real test starts Monday, no question. But for now? Kick back and soak it in. Light a cigar, pour yourself a glass of Whistle Pig with one pristine rock, and revel in the fact that the Suns did what they were supposed to do. Sometimes, that’s all you need.
Bright Side Baller Season Standings
Devin Booker, fresh off the release of his Book 1 Cortez sneakers in legendary fashion, earned Bright Side Baller honors after dropping 32 points against the Brooklyn Nets. This marks his 10th game with BSB recognition, making him the first player to hit that milestone.
To celebrate, Devin should send me some autographed shoes. Why? Because I want them. Duh.
