The Suns’ guard and the Raptor have the best rivalry in basketball, according to the Suns.
Devin Booker has some history with the Toronto Raptors. Booker, arguably the Phoenix Suns’ most impactful player in the last four seasons, forced the Raptor, who attempted to distract him during two free throw shots, to back off back in 2022.
The Suns’ shooting guard and mascot met up pregame on Sunday, embracing before Phoenix’s loss.

Devin Booker and the Raptors mascot feud
Booker, now in his 10th season, made the internet laugh when he forced the Raptor, the only “fan” at Scotiabank Arena due to the COVID-19 pandemic, to get out of the way. The official made sure to send away the Raptor at Booker’s request.
The Suns won that game, yet the game will always be remembered for the feud.
Did the Raptor apologize?
Yes, the Raptor apologized to Booker after the game.
“We hashed it out,” Booker said.
Did Devin Booker play against the Raptors?
Yes. Booker led all scorers for Sunday’s game with 31 points. He also finished with eight assists but had five turnovers.
Booker, who is the youngest of the Suns’ “Big 3” with him, Kevin Durant, and Bradley Beal, is yet to leap many expected. He is a playoff riser, but the Suns’ fifth loss in the last six games puts them at No. 11 in the West.
The Suns went on a 10-0 run over nearly two minutes to place them in a 2-point deficit, 105-103, with 5:02 to go. Then the Raptors hit seven threes to ice the game, winning 127-109.
