10 years in. This is the 10th time Devin Booker has been named Western Conference Player of the Week.
Devin Booker got off to a sluggish start this season for the Phoenix Suns, raising a few eyebrows among fans and analysts alike. In the opening week, which featured matchups against the Clippers, Lakers, and Mavericks, Booker averaged a modest 19.7 points with shooting splits of 42.9% from the field, 43.5% from three, and 81.3% from the line. This led some to wonder if the wear and tear from his Olympic stint was still lingering and if he could still command the floor as the alpha he’s known to be.
Enter Week 2…
Booker shot 48.4% from the field, 37% from deep, and 90.6% of his free throws as he led the Suns to a 3-0 record on the week, all while averaging 33.7 points, 6.3 assists, and 5.7 rebounds. I think Book is going to be okay.
And now, for the 10th time in his career, Devin Booker has been named Western Conference Player of the Week.

Booker’s 33.7 points per game last week tied him with Giannis Antetokounmpo for second in the league, trailing only Paolo Banchero of the Orlando Magic by 6.8 points, though Banchero is now sidelined indefinitely with a torn oblique muscle. After his Week 2 scoring surge, Booker now ranks 12th in the NBA, averaging 26.7 points per game, 0.9 points ahead of teammate Kevin Durant.
The 10th-year guard, who just celebrated his 28th birthday last week, is proving that he’s fully in his prime. His recent performances showcase his elite scoring ability, leadership, and consistency on both ends of the floor, qualities that continue to elevate his game and his role as a cornerstone for the Phoenix Suns.
Congratulations to Devin Booker on this well-deserved achievement, a testament to his hard work and dedication as he leads his team through another promising season.
