The Phoenix Suns could be reaching a crossroads if they are unable to make a trade by the deadline that turns around their season ahead of their third potential playoff run with Kevin Durant. Durant decided not to sign an extension with the Suns this past offseason and could become a free agent in 2026.
While the Houston Rockets reportedly “let it be known” that they have interest in Devin Booker, his future remains with the Suns.
“They have a lot of Suns’ draft capital and they’ve let it be known they are Devin Booker fans,” said Tim MacMahon of the Rockets. “There’s no indication Devin Booker, and certainly not the Suns, have any interest in participating in that.”
“Devin Booker is staying with the Suns,” said Brian Windhorst. “I don’t see any wavering on that whatsoever. Just to interject.”
Booker cannot become a free agent until 2028 and is represented by Jessica Holtz and Melvin Booker. Booker signed a four-year, $220.4 million supermax extension in July 2022.
