The Suns picked up the pieces with hot shooting to knock off one of the Eastern Conference’s best.
The Valley Suns picked up a crucial win in the G League playoff chase, beating the Capital City Go-Go 114-106 on Thursday at Mullett Arena.
It came with a cost, however, as Oso Ighodaro appeared to suffer a lower-body injury in the first half and played just one minute in the second.

Ighodaro initially limped badly as he made his way to the locker room, but he was back out near the Suns’ bench for the end of the half. Then, before the start of the second, he was testing out the issue with a trainer on the baseline.
He began the third quarter on the bench and still in uniform after the testing appeared to go smoothly, and he checked in early in the third quarter.
He provided a dunk in the minute he played before appearing to wince while setting a screen and checking back out immediately after. He did not return but remained on the bench in uniform for the rest of the win.
Though his night was cut short to 12 minutes due to the apparent lower-body injury, his first stint was exactly what you’d imagine from the rookie: eight points (4-for-4 shooting), four rebounds, three assists and one block in eight minutes.

The second-half dunk got him double digits in the third G League game of his career at 10 points.
Valley Suns withstand late run for win
The Suns took a 93-84 lead with about nine minutes remaining, and old words from coach John Little rang true: “no lead in the G is safe.”
The Go-Go rushed out a 14-2 run to take a 98-95 lead before Valley separated for the eight-point victory. Jalen Bridges led the seven Suns in double figures with 22 points on 8-for-14 shooting (4-for-7 from 3).
He, along with TyTy Washington Jr., Moses Wood and Paul Watson, each knocked down three 3s, whereas the only Capital City player with more than two was former NBA guard Jaylen Nowell, who had 26 points (5-for-8 from 3).
Both teams shot above 40% from distance, combining to go 31-for-75.
The game was the front end of a back-to-back against the same team, and Capital City entered the night at No. 2 in the East with the regular season ending this month. For the Suns, it was also the second of a seven-game span to begin the month all against teams currently in playoff spots or one spot out.
They are 1-1 to begin that stretch and are inside the playoffs at No. 5 with 1.5 game separating them and three teams (Memphis Hustle, Rip City Remix and Oklahoma City Blue).
