Grayson Allen has a new home for the 2023-24 NBA season. On Wednesday, the former Duke star was traded to the Suns as part of a three-team deal centered around Damian Lillard.
Allen played for the Bucks from 2021-2023, averaging 10.7 points and 3.3 rebounds per game. It’ll be interesting to see how he performs in Phoenix.
Earlier this month, Allen’s wife, Morgan Reid, went viral on Instagram. That’s because she shared some of her favorite photos from this summer.
“End of summer,” Reid wrote for her Instagram caption.
Allen and Reid first met as students at Duke. They started dating in the fall of 2018. Then, roughly four years later, they tied the knot.
Reid, who played college soccer at Duke, started her pro career with the North Carolina Courage. She was then traded to the Orlando Pride in 2019.
In November of 2022, Reid unfortunately announced her retirement due to a severe hip injury.
“I accepted the state of my body as my new normal,” she wrote. “They couldn’t find anything definitively wrong with my hip, even though my physical capabilities were 20% of what they were before preseason 2020. My hopes of playing competitive soccer, tennis with my family, or even just living an active lifestyle, had dwindled. I couldn’t do any of these activities without severe pain.”
Reid has not yet commented on Allen’s move to Phoenix.
We’d have to imagine she’ll attend a few Suns games next season.
