He will be re-evaluated early next week, per reports.
The Phoenix Suns can’t stay healthy. It’s a game of musical chairs at this point, where one member of the Big Three always seems to be left standing as two seats are taken. Kevin Durant has missed 10 games. Bradley Beal has missed 10 as well. And Devin Booker? Well, he’s played in the Suns’ first 26 games, but alas, it is his turn to sit on the sidelines.
The Suns announce Devin Booker will be out for the next 2 games with left groin soreness. He will be re-evaluated early next week

Merry Christmas.
Devin Booker exited in the third quarter of the Suns’ loss to the Indiana Pacers on Thursday with a reported groin strain, though no specific play appeared to show the injury. Phoenix had just welcomed Bradley Beal back to the lineup after he had been out with knee swelling.
This isn’t the first time the holiday season has brought concerns about Devin Booker’s health. Nearly two years ago, Booker suffered a groin injury that sidelined him for three games. He returned on Christmas Day in 2022 to face the Denver Nuggets, only to re-injure himself, which ultimately cost him the next 21 games of the season.
In a twist of irony, the Suns are once again set to face the Denver Nuggets this Christmas.
It’s yet another frustrating chapter in the Suns’ 2024-25 season, where the NBA’s highest-paid roster sits at 14-12, playing uninspired basketball, particularly on the defensive end. Perhaps it’s hard to find motivation when at least $50 million in payroll is perpetually sidelined.
Gone are the lighthearted days of goofy three-point celebrations and pregame dances. Instead, Suns fans are left watching opposing teams impose their will and enjoy themselves at Phoenix’s expense.
As we await updates on the severity of Devin Booker’s soft tissue injury, there’s a nagging feeling that this holiday season might once again deliver a lump of coal to the Suns’ Christmas stocking.
