If you haven’t heard this story, get ready to feel good!
During my time covering the Suns, I have met amazing people and made some true friends. I have never encountered someone like Hussein Siro. His passion for OUR team and his dedication to reaching out to people like @SunsUniTracker and @DevinBook made his journey possible.
This is a 21-year-old, highly intelligent, and very well-mannered young man who captured my heart. All he ever wanted was one piece of Phoenix Suns merchandise, which is very hard to get in Nairobi, Kenya. Being 9,433 miles from the Valley makes it tough.
The Phoenix Suns community rallied together to send Siro not one, but two Suns’ jerseys. That’s where Siro’s journey began. A A Devin Booker Icon Edition jersey and a Mikal Bridges Classic Edition jersey made their way to Siro, thanks to the Suns community. Since then, with a big push from Suns Uni Tracker, the fanbase has also sent him a pair of Book 1 Pythons.
He caught my personal attention as I was fascinated by his story. I was blessed enough to be able to bring Siro on as a guest on the Suns Planet Podcast to tell his story.
The story of Siro, who goes by @KenyanSuns_Fan on Twitter/X, has garnered significant attention. He has just completed an interview with 12 News Arizona, and Siro’s story is now receiving worldwide recognition.

I am honored to present a letter from Siro to the entire Phoenix Suns community:
Before I found the Phoenix Suns community, my life felt shrouded in darkness. I was searching for a reason to keep going—something to ignite a spark within me. Everything changed when Suns Uni Tracker believed in me. Then, like a beacon of light, the Suns community embraced me in a way only they could. They gave me a reason to live, to hope, and to dream again.
To a once-lost soul, they became my guiding star. The camaraderie, the shared passion for the game, and the unwavering support from fellow fans gave me a sense of belonging I had never known. Every game, every cheer, and every moment of triumph and defeat made me feel connected to something greater than myself.
This community lifted me from the depths of despair and filled my heart with optimism for the future. They showed me that even in the darkest times, there is always a reason to believe, to fight, and to keep moving forward. The Phoenix Suns community didn’t just give me a team to root for—they gave me a family, a home, and a renewed sense of purpose.
