There are few players who love the game of basketball like Phoenix Suns superstar Kevin Durant.
That’s not the only reason why the future Hall of Famer just played in his 15th All-Star Game. At this point, he’s had thousands –hundreds of thousands of hours –of practice. A master of his craft, Durant is now one of eight NBA players to have scored 30,000 career points, With that being said, he also has great genetics. There are many players with a great work ethic and who are superb scorers, but not many of them are 6-foot-11.
Kevin Durant Teases Jump To EuroLeague
Even though Durant is already 36 years old, it’s possible that he’ll be in the NBA for a while longer. In fact, it isn’t out of the realm of the imagination that he could still suit up in his 40s. Nonetheless, when Durant was asked about whether he would consider playing in the EuroLeague after his NBA career, it was still a bit surprising that he didn’t rule out the possibility.
“I play in the NBA, but I also love watching the EuroLeague,” he says (h/t EuroHoops). “Varcelone would be a great place [to play]. Monaco would be nice too.”
Kevin Durant doesn’t rule out the possibility of playing in the Euroleague in the future.

“For now, I love Phoenix,” he adds. “I’m staying.”
Durant’s teaser won’t be forgotten by fans –stateside or abroad –anytime soon. If he was to take his talents to Barcelona or Monaco, playing for local FC Barcelona or AS Monaco, he would be the biggest player to make the jump overseas. More people would be watching the EuroLeague than ever.
What’s more, because of how much Durant appreciates the sport that he’s dedicated his life to, it’s possible he really will.
How Long Will He Be With The Suns
Durant’s name has been featured in several trade rumors, much to his dismay. He doesn’t look to be jumping ship. However, the Suns front office may force him to the plank anyways. It’s actually an unfortunate turn of events for the generational forward. His previous stops had left him wanting but he long sounded like he really could settle down in the valley.
It’s unlikely he would have to go through this if he played in the EuroLeague.
Still, there’s a silver lining to being wanted. Because he’s the prize, the franchises who’ll have interest in him will want to make him comfortable. With that in mind, the Dallas Mavericks and Minnesota Timberwolves have already attempted to trade for him. Both teams have a star that he has a good bond with in Mavs guard Kyrie Irving and Timberwolves wing Anthony Edwards. Those teams also happen to be title contenders.
