It’s here. Christmas morning. For most, it means unwrapping presents under a tree glowing with lights, the air filled with joy. The sounds of happiness. The sharp look of disappointment when you realize that when your wife said “Let’s just not get each other anything this year” she didn’t really mean it. Yeah, you’re on your own for that one.

But for Phoenix Suns fans — and basketball lovers everywhere — it’s more than just about gifts and family. It’s Christmas Day, the unofficial start of the NBA season for the casual crowd. A full slate of games, and you’re nestled in your recliner, ready to watch teams launch three-pointers and play about as little defense as possible. Oh wait, maybe that’s just the Suns.

I want to take a moment to say “thank you” to this community.

The world of sports journalism has become a brutal, unforgiving beast. Just last week, PHNX felt the weight of that reality, as their parent company, All-City, made some tough cuts. It’s a reminder of just how treacherous this landscape can be. And yet, here I am, feeling incredibly thankful and blessed to have your unwavering support for this website.

This space is something special. It’s where we can dive into our team without the corporate editors stripping away the soul of what’s being said. In a world where the voices of writers are often drowned out by the relentless noise of the business side, this community has made it clear: those voices matter.
