Who doesn’t love knowing when teams are playing and what uniforms they are wearing?
It’s jersey release day! Not sure what that means? Well, I’m not sure I know how to explain it. But I shall do my best. No, it’s a day in which jerseys are released into the wild like a reduced jaguar reentering the jungle. Nor is it when NBA teams release their newest versions of their City Edition threads. We’ve had a glimpse of the Phoenix Suns’ new-look uniforms for about a month now.
Today is the day NBA Locker Vision unveils the blueprint for uniform matchups across the league. Exciting, right? Well, for uniform nerds like me, it definitely is!
If you haven’t checked out the website mentioned above, give it a click! It’s a great spot to see mockups for every NBA team and find out who’s wearing what and when. You’ve probably seen it before, as I’ve been including the uniform matchups in game previews for the past couple of years.
When you visit the Suns’ page, you’ll notice their City Edition uniforms are marked as “coming soon.” But a quick scroll reveals when they’ll make their debut: Monday, November 18, at home against the Orlando Magic. That’s when we’ll get our first on-court look at the new threads.

The team will open their season wearing the Association Edition white jerseys, and these are what they will be wearing on their Christmas Day matchup against the Denver Nuggets as well.
Last season, during the In-Season Tournament, the Suns sported their City Edition uniforms for every home game. Those jerseys matched the vibrant courts, complete with “El Valle” scripted across the center. This year, they’ll be rocking their black Statement Edition jerseys, which, in my opinion, are easily a top-five look for the Suns.
80 games currently scheduled due to the In-Season Tournament (2 games to be added later depending on how the Suns do – they will either be tournament games or additional regular season games).

Icon/Purple – 27 games

All in all, the team will don their Association whites the most this season, with 28 appearances, closely followed by the Icon purple, also at 27 games. We’ll see the Statement’s 15 times and the City’s just 10, although only 80 games are currently accounted for as the NBA Cup determines to two other games on the team’s schedule.
It might not be the wildest news, but it’s one of those details I love to check out. It’s a sure sign the season is just around the corner. Like, two days away. I’m getting any in my pantsies.
