How does the calendar shape out in the final full month of the regular season?
The Phoenix Suns had their worst month of the season in February, going a horrific 3-10 and dropping from the 8th seed to the 11th by the end of the month. If the Suns are going to salvage their season and move up in the standings, they’re going to need to do it in the last full month.
Here’s a peek at the Suns’ schedule for the next month.
Finishing out the Homestand
- Sunday, March 2nd vs Minnesota Timberwolves
- Tuesday, March 4th vs Los Angeles Clippers
Both the Wolves and the Clippers are ahead of the Suns in the standings, giving them a good opportunity to gain some ground while finishing their four-game homestand that started last month.
Minnesota has had Phoenix’s number this year, defeating them both times they’ve played heartbreakingly and dominantly, but the team has had success against the Clippers, already securing a season-series victory. Both teams have struggled of late, which could bode to help the Valley in these upcoming matchups.

Another Extended Road Trip
- Friday, March 7th @ Denver Nuggets
- Sunday, March 9th @ Dallas Mavericks
- Monday, March 10th @ Memphis Grizzliess
- Wednesday, March 12th @ Houston Rockets
The Valley will face four opponents they played last month, just all of them on the road this time. Outside of the Mavericks, all of them are likely out of reach for the Suns to have an even feasible chance to catch in the standings, even with a good month. Phoenix is just 3-7 this season against these four opponents, with no wins against the Grizzlies and Rockets. Dallas is expected to still be without Davis when Phoenix plays the Mavericks, giving them less of a battle inside than they would usually face against the new-look Mavs.
A Few Divisional Battles before the Long Homestand
- Friday, March 14th vs Sacramento Kings
- Sunday, March 16th vs Los Angeles Lakers
The Valley will have a few divisional matchups before they face five-straight Eastern Conference foes. Phoenix will have its last game against the Lakers. The Valley arguably had its best win of the year the last time they played the Lakers back in November.
Longest Homestand of the Season Left, all against the East
- Monday, March 17th vs Toronto Raptors
- Wednesday, March 19th vs Chicago Bulls
- Friday, March 21st vs Cleveland Cavaliers
- Monday, March 24th vs Milwaukee Bucks
- Wednesday, March 26th vs Boston Celtics
Phoenix will have a chance to pick up some more non-conference wins in this homestand. Toronto recently got the better of the Suns, while they beat Chicago and got trounced by Cleveland in January. The final two games of the homestand will be their first against the Celtics and Bucks this year. Both Toronto and Chicago seem to be easy games for the Valley, yet they also seemed to be easy ones last week when they played them both on the road and they eked out a win vs the Bulls and lost in style against the Raptors.
Last Games of the Year against a Few Teams
- Friday, March 28th @ Minnesota Timberwolves
- Sunday, March 30th vs Houston Rockets
If they’re not able to get victories against them earlier in the month, the Valley will have their final chances of the season to beat the Rockets and Wolves. With both presenting athletic and defensive challenges for Phoenix, it’s no surprise Phoenix is 0-3 combined against both this year.
With just seven games in April, most of the final chapter of the Suns’ 2024-2025 Regular season campaign will be written this month. Many offseason changes could be impacted by how the team performs during it.
