Next Monday, we’ll get to meet the 2024-25 Suns.
It’s been a long time since I’ve been in school. I think my last ‘first day’ was in 2005? I’m not somebody who you would classify as “educated.” I have 12 credit hours at Scottsdale Community College (Go Artichokes) under my belt, having passed English 102, a graphic design class, and golf. Twice. I just never found my niche.
Regardless, I still remember what the first day of jitters felt like. The butterflies. The anticipation. The inability to sleep the night before. When that first day comes around, it’s the start of a new chapter.
Phoenix Suns Media Day is the same way.
This will be my third time attending, and once again, the excitement is kicking in. We’ll meet a new mix of faces on the roster —some familiar, some new — and it’s a chance to catch up with members of the media I haven’t seen since the Suns were eliminated a few months ago. How was your summer? Did you go on any vacations? Is that a new piercing?!
We’ve been wondering when the introductions would occur, and now we know. The Phoenix Suns have announced that Media Day will be next Monday, beginning at 11:30 AM.

This will be our first chance to dive into how their summers unfolded, whether it was grinding in the gym, refining their game, or, in the case of Devin Booker and Kevin Durant, experiencing the culture and inspiration of Paris. Beyond just recapping the offseason, it’s a moment to turn the page, shift focus to the season ahead, and start building an understanding of this revamped team, both on and off the court. It’s about getting a feel for the chemistry, the mindset, and the goals they’re setting as they aim to take the next step forward.
As our writing team gears up to cover Media Day, we want to hear from you! What topics do you want us to focus on? Should we explore how the upcoming Paris Olympics might impact the Suns’ performance? Are there specific players whose quotes you’re eager to hear? If so, who should we prioritize?
Let us know how you’d like Bright Side of the Sun to cover this year’s Media Day!
