Phoenix Suns rookie Ryan Dunn throws out first pitch at must-win Diamondbacks game

Phoenix Suns rookie forward Ryan Dunn showed off his athleticism on Friday night, throwing out first-pitch at a big Arizona Diamondbacks game.

While some athletes can have a hard time jumping from their sport to baseball, Dunn looked about how he should given his MLB DNA. His brother Justin pitched for four seasons, most recently for the Cincinnati Reds in 2022.

Dunn threw to D-backs pitcher Zac Gallen on an off-night for the ace. It was the first of three games between Arizona and the San Diego Padres, a huge series for the Suns’ neighbor across downtown given playoff implications.

And we’ve gotta give a shoutout to our own Josh Hunt, who we share with AZ SnakePit and was on-site to shoot Dunn’s first pitch.

But also, how about that big news drop out of left field (haha, get it?) with Karl-Anthony Towns reportedly getting traded in a cross-conference swap between contenders?

The New York Knicks sent Julius Randle, Donte DiVincenzo, and a first-round pick back to the Minnesota Timberwolves, per Shams Charania, who stepped forward to report the big news with Adrian Wojnarowski retired from journalism.

On the other side of the very funny pairing this creates between Towns and Knicks coach Tom Thibodeau is Divincenzo leaving the Villanova Boys TM that had become fully-formed this off-season. Now all that remains of it are Jalen Brunson, Mikal Bridges and Josh Hart, still a pretty fun group.
