Kyrie Irving is one of the most highly-touted free agents ahead of the 2023-24 NBA season.
The veteran point guard has scheduled meetings with six prospective teams: the Dallas Mavericks, Phoenix Suns, Miami Heat, Houston Rockets, Los Angeles Lakers and Los Angeles Clippers.
All of the meetings will take place in LA on Friday, per Bill Reiter of CBS Sports. In some cases, the meetings will be remote.
Sources tell @CBSSports that on top of Dallas and Phoenix, Kyrie Irving will meet today with Miami, Houston, the Lakers and the Clippers. Meetings will be in Los Angeles and, in a few cases, remote.

Irving played 20 games for the Mavericks this past season after the Dallas franchise orchestrated a trade with the Brooklyn Nets before last year’s deadline. There’s been some speculation that these free-agent meetings are simply a ploy to get leverage in longterm contract negotiations with the Mavericks front office.
In his 20 games with Dallas to close out the 2022-23 season, Irving averaged 27.0 points, 6.0 assists and 5.0 rebounds per game. He earned $36.5 million on his player option this past season.
Stay tuned for updates on Irving’s developing free-agent situation.
