ESPN’s Brian Windhorst with the scoop.
The Phoenix Suns are expected to offer Devin Booker a two-year $149.8 extension this offseason, ESPN NBA insider Brian Windhorst reports. Booker, 28, has spent the entirety of his ten-year career in the Valley and just finished up the first year of the four-year, $220.4 million extension he signed back in 2022.
The latest news is another signal from the Suns front office that they are committed to turning the franchise around with Booker leading the team. With Bradley Beal and Kevin Durant reportedly unlikely to be back with the Suns next year, the Suns have made it clear that the franchise’s all-time leading scorer is expected to stay put.
Booker averaged 25.6 points per game this season, and a career-high 7.1 assists in 75 games played. He’s a four-time all-star with multiple All-NBA selections, including an All-NBA First-Team nod back in 2022.
