In honor of his retirement, lets look back at some of his best scoops on the Suns.

An all-time media legend, dropping some of the most historic news in NBA history, Wojnarowski reported some of the most iconic transactions, signings, and draft picks in Phoenix Suns history. If you didn’t have notifications to his tweets set to “on”, you may have missed out on some earth-shattering moments.
Here are some of his top Phoenix scoops as a reporter.
#1: Kevin Durant Traded to the Phoenix Suns
BREAKING: The Phoenix Suns are nearing a blockbuster trade to acquire Brooklyn Nets star Kevin Durant, sources tell ESPN. Durant wanted move to Suns, and new owner Mat Ishbia pushing to get deal done tonight.
— Adrian Wojnarowski (@wojespn) February 9, 2023
This has to be number one.
On Mat Ishbia’s first day as Governor, the Valley made one of the biggest trades in NBA history, trading for the Slim Reaper. The Suns gave a historic haul to get the multi-time Finals MVP from the Brooklyn Nets, it was the start of a new era in Phoenix.
#2: Chris Paul Traded to the Phoenix Suns
The Phoenix Suns are finalizing a deal to acquire Oklahoma City Thunder All-Star guard Chris Paul, sources tell ESPN.
— Adrian Wojnarowski (@wojespn) November 16, 2020
Paul helped the Suns get back to the playoffs for the first time in 11 seasons and led them to their first NBA Finals appearance in almost 30 years. As a member of the Phoenix Suns, he made multiple All-NBA appearances, and two All-Star games, and led the team to a franchise-best 64 wins in the 2021-2022 season.
#3: Uh…Which Brooks?
Deal’s suddenly in peril. Memphis and Phoenix didn’t communicate directly on trade, using Washington as a conduit in coordinating the 3-team deal, sources tell @ZachLowe_NBA and me. Grizzlies believe they were trading MarShon, but somehow Suns believed it was Dillon.
— Adrian Wojnarowski (@wojespn) December 15, 2018
In an all-time fiasco, the Suns thought they were trading for Dillon Brooks when they were trading for Marshon Brooks. The confusion was an all-time hilarious blunder by the Valley, and the lure of the deal still lives on.
#4: The Phoenix Suns Draft Devin Booker
The Phoenix Suns will select Devin Booker with the No. 13 pick in the NBA Draft, league source tells Yahoo Sports.
— Adrian Wojnarowski (@wojespn) June 26, 2015
Arguably the greatest player in franchise history, Booker has led the Suns to places unimaginable before his tenure started in the Valley. He’ll likely become the team’s all-time leading scorer this season, and his impact on the city of Phoenix is beyond just basketball.
#5: Bradley Beal Traded to the Phoenix Suns
Washington and Phoenix have finalized the Bradley Beal trade, landing the Wizards six second-round draft picks and four first-round pick swaps, sources tell ESPN. Suns are sending seconds in 2024, 2025, 2026, 2027, 2028 and 2030. Pick swaps in 2024, 2026, 2028 and 2030.
— Adrian Wojnarowski (@wojespn) June 22, 2023
Despite the announcement of the new, restrictive CBA, the Phoenix Suns continued to go all-in on building a championship roster by trading for Bradley Beal and his max contract. Beal struggled at times in his first season on the Suns, but the Valley still has their championship core intact and looks to be a more balanced, cohesive team this season.
Enjoy your retirement Woj, we’ll miss your Woj Bombs,
