The Arizona Cardinals are in offseason mode and we are still weeks away from free agency and months from the NFL draft. Over the next little while, we will take a look at each player on the roster or signed to a reserve deal and break down where they stand with the team.
We will look at their 2024 season, their contract status and what their status is for the coming offseason and 2025 season.
Next up is guard Will Hernandez.
2024 Will Hernandez stats, season
Hernandez, in his third season with the Cardinals, had his season cut short. He played in only five games before suffering a season-ending knee injury. We learned later it was a torn ACL.
In those five games, he was penalized twice for holding and allowed only eight pressures, including no sacks.
2025 contract status
Hernandez will be an unrestricted free agent, as his two-year, $9 million deal expires.
Outlook for 2025
Hernandez would love to return. He will turn 30 years old just before the season starts and he is coming off knee surgery.
He was playing very well before he got hurt and many fans could love to see him come back. However, his 2025 with the Cardinals is very much uncertain. We will see how free agency plays out, whether he re-signs or whether it takes a while before he signs because of the injury.
