The Arizona Cardinals are in offseason mode and we are still weeks away from free agency and months from the NFL draft. Over the next little while, we will take a look at each player on the roster or signed to a reserve deal and break down where they stand with the team.
We will look at their 2024 season, their contract status and what their status is for the coming offseason and 2025 season.
Next up is wide receiver Quez Watkins.
2024 Quez Watkins stats, season
Watkins spent all last season on the Pittsburgh Steelers’ practice squad. He spent 2020-2023 with the Philadelphia Eagles after being drafted by them in the sixth round on 2020, playing 49 games in four seasons and catching 98 passes.
2025 contract status
Watkins signed a futures deal with the Cardinals in January. He is due to make $1.17 million in salary.
Outlook for 2025
Watkins should be seen as a player to fill the offseason roster who has, at best, an outside chance of making the roster. However, his top-end speed does make him an intriguing player to watch this offseason.
There shouldn’t be any real expectations, but he is a guy to pay attention to at least.
