The Arizona Cardinals are in offseason mode and we are still weeks away from free agency and months from the NFL draft. Over the next little while, we will take a look at each player on the roster or signed to a reserve deal and break down where they stand with the team.
We will look at their 2024 season, their contract status and what their status is for the coming offseason and 2025 season.
Next up is wide receiver Xavier Weaver.
2024 Xavier Weaver stats, season
Weaver made the team as an undrafted rookie out of Colorado. He was inactive for 15 of the 17 games this past season. He was targeted once in each of the two games he played but did not have a reception.
He played 72 offensive snaps and none on special teams.
2025 contract status
He enters the second year of the three-year deal he signed out of college. He will make $960,000 in 2025 and count $970,000 against the cap.
Outlook for 2025
Weaver will have to compete for a spot on the roster this year. He does not have any guaranteed money left in his contract, but the team likes his potential. He will compete for a roster spot and could crack the playing rotation.
