We continue to count down the days until the start of the Arizona Cardinals’ 2024 regular season. Now Tuesday of the week leading into their preseason opener, we are 33 days from their Week 1 matchup on the road against the Buffalo Bills on September 8.
Rookie running back Trey Benson is the player on the roster now wearing No. 33. He has not yet made an impact in the NFL, but as a third-round pick, he is expected to have some impact this season, perhaps as the Cardinals’ main backup running back to James Conner.
The Cardinals’ last player to wear No. 33 was cornerback Antonio Hamilton, who wore it from 2021-2023. He wasn’t a great player but certainly was solid. He had a team-leading 11 pass breakups last season.
Over three seasons, he played in 41 games, starting 16 and had 122 total tackles, two interceptions and 20 pass breakups.
