The road to Super Bowl LIX has us down to the final four teams. Next weekend will be the conference championships, determining the two teams who will battle to be world champions.
In the AFC, the Kansas City Chiefs, coming off a first-round bye, beat the Houston Texans 23-14 at home on Saturday despite only 212 yards of offense. They sacked Texans QB C.J. Stroud eight times and Houston kicker Kaimi Fairburn missed a field goal and an extra point, and he had a field goal blocked.
They will host the Buffalo Bills, who beat the Baltimore Ravens 27-25 Sunday at home, forcing three Baltimore turnovers. QB Josh Allen only had 127 passing yards and no touchdown passes but rushed for touchdowns twice.
In the NFC, the Washington Commanders upset the No. 1 seed Detroit Lions 45-31 on Saturday. The two teams combined for 1,002 yards of offense, but Lions quarterback Jared Goff was picked off three times and the Lions had five total turnovers, while Commanders quarterback Jayden Daniels, a rookie, passed for 299 yards and two touchdowns.
They will face the Philadelphia Eagles, who beat the Los Angeles Rams 28-22 at home on Sunday behind Saquon Barkley’s 205 rushing yards and two rushing touchdowns, including a 78-yard score with 4:36 to go.
