The Arizona Cardinals are bringing back their veteran right tackle.
The Arizona Cardinals have activated Jonah Williams off the injured reserve, and their splash signing on the offensive side of the ball from the 2024 offseason is back with the team.
Now the question becomes, who starts at right tackle?
Williams was injured in the first half of the first game against the Buffalo Bills, when Kelvin Beachum took over.
Beachum struggled mightily in that game, but since then has been solid and a veteran leader on a line that has produced one of the best rushing attacks in the NFL.
Beachum has also anchored the right side of the pass protection, that has helped the Cardinals be one of the least sacked teams in the league.
However, his play, while more than good enough, has not been without flaws. Meaning, that you can’t just keep playing him over Williams once Williams is back to form. However, one thing we know about offensive line, is that the whole usually outweighs the sum of its parts, and Beachum and company have been huge in the Cardinals four game win streak.
It will be an interesting to see how Coach Jonathan Gannon figures this out, but we can say without question the offensive line is deeper and better overall today than it was yesterday.
Now, how they go about getting the best five on the field remains to be seen.
