The Nebraska star could give the Arizona Cardinals great versatility along the defensive line.
We have gone through the consensus board, now we have to look at the players who the Arizona Cardinals have met with.
It won’t be as many, or there is overlap, we will not look at them again, but it will allow us to continue to build our board with some confidence.
This time, we are just using the Walter Football meeting tracker, and going in alphabetical order, and only top 30 visits.
Today we look at a local product, who ended up at Nebraska and turned it on in his final season.
Ty Robinson is a 6-5 288lbs defensive lineman who put up quite a good showing at the NFL Combine.
From Lance Zierlein:
Bully with a roughshod playing style that forces blockers to match his physicality. Robinson is built for the trenches with the versatility to play in odd or even fronts. He’s first into contact with his hands and mitigates average knee-bend with brute force in his upper half. He’s powerful to set edges but lacks length to control and quickly shed NFL blockers. He’s an effort rusher with active hands who can exploit a weak edge and thrive in gaming fronts but possesses average creativity. Robinson might not be a star, but his effort, strength and demeanor could make him a productive pro for years to come.
Robinson is a big, athletic interior player who reminds me of John Franklin-Myers, who was a solid fourth round pick of the Los Angeles Rams, and has been a starter in the NFL for the past four seasons.
Robinson has the ability to line up as a base end in odd fronts, but can kick inside and be a good pass rusher in even fronts.
His flexibility and versatility make him a great fit in what Nick Rallis wants to do on defense.
