FanDuel’s playoff odds for the Arizona Cardinals are now very long.
It gets harder and harder to enjoy Sunday’s this season.
Last season was mostly just knowing the Arizona Cardinals would be terrible most of the season, and hoping they would set themselves up for the future.
We then assumed the future was coming over the next two years and this year would be building on the last.
Things changed when they had a 6-4 record at the bye week and were in first place in the NFC West.
What hurts is that we adjusted based on how bad the NFC West was and the fact that a four game win streak was impressive, beating two good teams and really throttling two bad teams.
Instead, they had a three game stretch coming out of the bye week against playoff teams (or contenders) and they went 0-3 and fell out of the playoff race and are now +1300 to win the NFC West according to our friends at FanDuel Sportsbook.
I don’t think anyone is even worried about winning the NFC West, I think we now are worried if this team ends up in last place in the NFC West.
Finishing in last after being in first place in week 12 would be a new level of ineptitude that we just don’t want to see.
Of course, keeping us on our toes is something we can enjoy… right?
