The Arizona Cardinals are ready for the 2025 NFL Draft thanks to their early work in free agency.
The Arizona Cardinals may not have signed everyone you wanted them to sign, but in the end they signed the positions they needed to in order to prepare themselves for the 2025 season.
What that means more than anything is that they signed players that allow them to be flexible as the 2025 NFL Draft unfolds.
While there are plenty of question marks still, they have done a nice job of making their 16th pick in the 2025 NFL Draft one that can truly be based on the best player available.
While some fans may not agree that Justin Jones and Bilal Nichols should factor into the 2025 season, the reality is they will.
If the Cardinals decide to draft a defensive lineman type, they’ll not be expected to contribute right away, because they have players at those spots.
If they decide they need to improve the off ball linebacker position, the offensive line or a corner, there’s not a pressing need for those players to start.
That’s a nice departure from the last town seasons, where we players drafted early needed to play, now they can be like playoff teams, and look to strengthen positions as they move forward.
What a concept!
