The Arizona Cardinals continue to make moves on their practice squad roster.
The Arizona Cardinals continue to shuffle their practice squad, and added a young safety with lots of NFL game experience.
From the team:
The Arizona Cardinals Football Club today announced that the team has signed safety Russ Yeast to the practice squad. The signing took place today at the Dignity Health Arizona Cardinals Training Center in Tempe, AZ.
Yeast (5-10, 195) most recently was with Carolina where he appeared in two games with the Panthers this year after starting the season with the Los Angeles Rams where he played in the season opener. The 25-year old Yeast entered the league with Los Angeles as a seventh-round selection (253rd overall) in the 2022 NFL Draft out of Kansas State and appeared in 32 games (10 starts) with the Rams over the past two years (2022-23). During his time with the Rams, Yeast had 77 tackles (50 solo), one tackle for loss and five passes defensed.
Yeast will wear jersey #30.
Interesting signing, wonder if this is in prep for the Panthers or if they see a potential role for Yeast, as this is the time of year you start to see teams add to their practice squad for future plans.
Either way, welcome to desert, Russ.
