How did the Cardinals manage to be road favorites for the first time in years?
The Arizona Cardinals head to the northwest to take on the Seattle Seahawks in a battle for first place in the NFC West.
Just as we all expected in week 12 of the 2024 NFL season.
According to our friends at FanDuel Sportsbook, the Arizona Cardinals head into the weekend before the game as -1.5 point road favorites.
I need to say that again, because it just doesn’t seem real, the Arizona Cardinals are favored going into Seattle to take on the Seahawks.
So that begs the question… Why?
During their impressive four game win streak that has seen the Arizona Cardinals go from 2-4 to 6-4, they are averaging 26.3 points per game, while averaging 367.8 yards per game. 155.8 yards on the ground, and another 212 yards in the air. As balanced an offense as I can remember.
On the flipside, the defense is only giving up 14.3 points per game, despite giving up 305 yards per game.
It is the ability to keep other teams to field goals, while continually putting up touchdowns that has made the Cardinals so formidable.
Yet, it is a measured excitement from fans and the books. No one is ready to dive all in, and as we saw on Thursday Night Football, any given day in the NFL something can happen.
Let’s just hope this weekend continues to be good things happening for the Arizona Cardinals.
