17-year veteran defensive lineman Calais Campbell has signed a new contract with the Arizona Cardinals. Campbell, a six-time Pro Bowler and former First-Team All-Pro, spent the 2024 season with the Miami Dolphins but has also played for the Arizona Cardinals, Jacksonville Jaguars, Baltimore Ravens, and Atlanta Falcons.

Calais Campbell, Arizona Cardinals, Agree to Contract
Despite his advanced age, Calais Campbell remained one of the league’s more productive defensive tackles in 2024. Starting and appearing in all 17 games for Miami, the probable Hall of Famer finished the season with five sacks, 52 tackles, 12 quarterback hits, and 12 tackles-for-loss while being arguably the most consistent player on the defensive line. Unfortunately, he couldn’t guide the Dolphins to the playoffs, as the team struggled to succeed in Tua Tagovailoa’s absence.
Calais Campbell originally entered the league as a second-round pick in the 2008 NFL Draft. Selected by the Arizona Cardinals, the Miami product didn’t do much as a rookie but earned a starting job in 2009. After establishing himself as a reliable part of the front seven, Campbell finally earned national acclaim when he earned his first two Pro Bowl selections in 2014 and 2015. He also earned Second-Team All-Pro honors in 2014 and 2016.
Campbell left Arizona in 2017 to join the Jacksonville Jaguars and played some of the best football of his career. Part of the famous “Sacksonville” defense, Campbell finished the 2017 campaign with 14.5 sacks while earning First-Team All-Pro honors and finishing second in Defensive Player of the Year voting. The Jaguars made it to the AFC Championship Game that year but narrowly missed the Super Bowl thanks to a fourth-quarter Tom Brady comeback.
While the Jaguars never recaptured that 2017 magic, Campbell remained productive and made four straight Pro Bowl teams from 2017 to 2020, including one year with the Baltimore Ravens.
Since signing his rookie contract, Calais Campbell has played in 261 games while making 242 starts. While on the field, the Miami product has recorded 110.5 sacks, 917 tackles, 187 tackles-for-loss, and 266 quarterback hits.
