For the second consecutive home game, the Arizona Cardinals did not allow a touchdown and in the 29-9 victory over the Bears, the defense held Chicago to 241 yards on 70 plays, an average of 3.4 per play.
In addition, the Bears converted only 3-of-14 third downs and three of the six sacks came on third down. With all that, defensive coordinator Nick Rallis became a father for the second time at 9:40 Sunday morning Arizona time.
Head coach Jonathan Gannon awarded a game ball to Rallis and revealed, “Talked to him on Monday morning. I said, ‘Somebody’s got to get ready to call the game if the baby comes at one or two o’clock.’ He says, ‘I’m calling the game.’ That was cool.”
Let’s go over what we learned on defense and on special teams.
