The Arizona Cardinals have had to replace three assistant coaches so far this offseason. They now have to replace a fourth.
According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, the Jacksonville Jaguars are hiring Spencer Whipple to be their quarterbacks coach under new head coach Liam Coen.
Coen and Whipple coached with one another at the University of Massachusetts, where Whipple was before joining the Cardinals in 2019.
Whipple was the Cardinals’ passing game specialist the last two years and spent four years on Kliff Kingsbury’s staff before that in different roles — offensive quality control, assistant wide receivers coach and co-passing game coordinator.
Head coach Jonathan Gannon now has another move to make.
Offensive line coach Klayton Adams left to be the offensive coordinator of the Dallas Cowboys. He was replaced by former Ohio State offensive line coach Justin Frye.
Defensive line coach Derrick LeBlanc was not brought back. He was replaced by Winston DeLattiboudere, who was the defensive line coach and assistant head coach at the University of Minnesota.
Linebackers coach Sam Siefkes became the defensive coordinator of Virginia Tech. He was replaced by former Dallas Cowboys assistant defensive backs coach Cristian Garcia.
The Cardinals have not yet announced any of the changes yet.
