The Arizona Cardinals will be getting a few familiar faces back before a Week 10 showdown against the Atlanta Falcons.
Former No. 1 overall pick Kyler Murray will make his first start of the 2023 season after making his way back from a torn ACL. It certainly looks like running back James Conner will be joining Murray in the backfield this week after spending a few weeks on injury reserve.
Arizona decided to part ways with running back Tony Jones, which likely paves the way for Conner’s return.
“The Cardinals have waived RB Tony Jones from the 53-man roster,” ESPN’s Field Yates reported. “Perhaps a sign that James Conner will be activated to the 53-man roster in time for Sunday’s game after returning to practice this week.”

Jones was part of a dismal running attack for the Cardinals against the Cleveland Browns over the weekend. He racked seven total yards on five touches – two of which were receptions.
