With Arizona Cardinals head coach Jonathan Gannon announcing that Joshua Dobbs is no longer the starter, the Cardinals now have two options: Kyler Murray, who is coming off an injury, and rookie fifth-round pick Clayton Tune.
According to NFL insider Ian Rapoport, the Cardinals plan to start Tune against the Cleveland Browns next weekend. Per the report, Murray may still play but it more likely to play next week instead.
“Barring a significant change of plans, #AZCardinals rookie Clayton Tune is expected to start this week, sources say. Kyler Murray may still play, but next week is more likely as of now,” Rapoport said.
Murray has not played since Week 14 of last season as he’s dealt with a serious knee injury. He was finally back in practice this past week but was not active in Week 8.

In the meantime, Clayton Tune will be making his first NFL start this weekend. Tune has just one snap on the season – a four-yard pass in Week 7 against the Seattle Seahawks.
Prior to joining the Cardinals, Tune played for five seasons at the University of Houston, finishing third in passing yard and second in touchdowns in team history.
Will Tune lead the Cardinals to a win in his first start?
