The Carolina Panthers will have a new look this upcoming season. No, not only because Baker Mayfield could be the new starting quarterback in town should he best Sam Darnold during training camp.
The Panthers released photos of their new black helmets and all-black color rush uniforms to be worn in 2022 on Tuesday.
The new digs will make their debut on Nov. 10 against the visiting Atlanta Falcons at Bank of America Stadium on Thursday Night Football.

Carolina paired the helmets with the slogan, βWITNESS OUR DARK SIDE.β
The shells have other differences than the Panthersβ typical greys. They are matte and have blue strips along the top instead of black.
The NFL is allowing teams to wear alternate helmets this season after making a policy change.
Carolina is among several teams taking advantage.

The Houston Texans and Falcons will don red caps along with their typical colors.
The New England Patriots are turning back time with their classic white helmets that show the βPat Patriotβ logo.
The New Orleans Saints, like Carolina, will put on black helmets, while the Philadelphia Eagles are bringing back their throwback green and winged caps.
