The Arizona Cardinals a small school interior offensive lineman in the newest Daniel Jeremiah mock draft.
Spoiler alert.
If you listen to the pod with Jess and I you’ll already know my opinion on what Daniel Jeremiah mocked to the Arizona Cardinals yesterday in his 2025 NFL Mock Draft 3.0.
For those that have not listened, here is what I think, but first DJ’s mock.
16. Arizona Cardinals – Grey Zabel, OL, North Dakota State
There will be quite a few teams targeting Zabel in this area of the draft. He’s had a great process, from his final college season to the Reese’s Senior Bowl to the NFL Scouting Combine.
What’s interesting is that DJ doesn’t exactly give an explanation for the Cardinals, but more about why he has Zabel going in the top 20.
However, I do wonder if DJ is projecting or just getting names into spots?
Monti Ossenfort has not talent a single FCS player in two full drafts. So, for him to take his first one, in the first round, at a position that isn’t what most would consider a premium position would be a departure.
Now, this isn’t anything about Zabel, who I think is outstanding, but more about I just don’t see it in this scenario.
So, would Zabel be a fit? Yes, but I just can’t see it on day one, but especially at 16.
What are your thoughts?
