Ex-Cardinals GM Steve Keim seemed to have something he wanted to get off his chest during a recent appearance on “The Herd.”
Talking Kyler Murray’s recent comments on being “coachable” but admitting “we all have to look in the mirror,” Keim went there.
In terms of quarterbacks, what he said, you don’t love it. When he added the word ‘but’ in, generally, behind a positive, the word ‘but’ does not end in a positive light. So, I certainly didn’t want to hear that, nor do fans want to hear a guy who’s making $46.1 million a year blame anybody but himself.
“He’s coming off the injury. He’s got to prove himself… They’re in a real predicament.”

Keim went on to say that he would have Murray in his top-five QB’s under the most pressure in 2023 and that Kyler will need to prove himself in order for the Cardinals to not look at drafting a QB next April.
And I’m not saying he’s the kind of guy that blames people. Yet at the same time, when you get a bag of cash, everybody expects you to take it on your shoulders, and that’s what a franchise quarterback does.
Murray tore his ACL Week 14 of last year and with a new regime in house, there’s a lot on the line for the former No. 1 pick.
