Former Ohio State wide receiver Marvin Harrison Jr. may have his sights set on playing in the NFC West.
Arizona Cardinals offensive lineman Paris Johnson Jr. said he told Harrison that he’d end up playing in Glendale next season. Johnson and Harrison were once teammates at Ohio State.
“Right when I got drafted, I literally went to Marvin and was like, ‘Dude, you know you’re a Cardinal, right?’ I knew he was going to be a Cardinal, because I saw what happened with D-Hop [DeAndre Hopkins],” Johnson said, via Fox News Digital. “I’m like, the Cardinals are probably going to want another 6-foot-4 receiver.”
So, how did Harrison respond to that comment from Johnson? Apparently, he embraced that idea.
“He said he wanted to be a Cardinal,” Johnson said.
The Cardinals could very well select Harrison with the fourth overall pick in the upcoming draft. That is, of course, if they keep the pick.
The only person on the Cardinals who probably wants Harrison on the team more than Johnson is Kyler Murray.
Harrison was outstanding for the Buckeyes, hauling in 155 passes for 2,613 yards and 31 touchdowns. Even though he didn’t work out at the NFL Combine or Ohio State’s Pro Day, he’s expected to be the No. 1 wideout taken in this year’s draft.
