The Arizona Cardinals take on the New York Jets Sunday afternoon in Week 10 at State Farm Stadium. The game kicks off at 4:25 p.m. ET (2:25 p.m. Arizona time) and airs on CBS.
Cardinals running back James Conner has been perhaps the team’s most important offensive player and appeared on the injury report all week with a thumb injury.
But there is good news. That thumb injury will not sideline him for the game.
Conner was listed as a limited participant in practice on Wednesday and Thursday, making one wonder whether he would miss the game or have a smaller role.
However, on Friday, he was a full participant and, when the final injury report of the week was released, he had no game designation. He is good to go.
Conner rushed for 107 yards on 18 carries last week in the team’s 29-9 win over the Chicago Bears, the fourth time this season he rushed for at last 100 yards.
In nine games, he has averaged 4.5 yards per carry and rushed for 664 yards and four touchdowns. He is on pace for more than 1,250 yards currently. His career-high in rushing was 1,040 yards last season.
He could have another big game as the Jets are 21st in rush defense, allowing 132.6 rushing yards per game.
