The Houston Texans were eliminated from the NFL playoffs on Saturday when they lost to the Kansas City Chiefs 23-14. Their offseason officially begins.
Like most teams, they have a number of players scheduled to be free agents.
ESPN’s Adam Schefter dropped a list of key free agents on social media immediately following the loss.
Texans key free agents this off-season: WR Stefon Diggs, WR Robert Woods, DT Folorunso Fatukasi, S Eric Murray, DT Mario Edwards Jr., DE Derek Barnett, LB Neville Hewitt, LB Devin White, RB Dare Ogunbowale, C Kendrick Green, DE Jerry Hughes, TE Irv Smith Jr., CB Jeff Okudah, QB…

Some of these players could be free agents to watch for the Arizona Cardinals, who have a number of needs to fill on the roster.
Which guys could fit what the Cardinals could use?
Key Texans free agents who could be targets for Cardinals
WR Robert Woods
Woods is not the top receiver he has been in years past, but at 32 years old, he can be a veteran presence in the locker room at a position that has almost all young players. He can return punts and kicks.
CB Jeff Okudah
Okudah was drafted by Detroit in the first round when Cardinals assistant GM Dave Sears was in charge of college scouting. The Cardinals might not have a clear need at cornerback, but he is still only 25 years old and could be an intriguing player to add.
LB Neville Hewitt
The Cardinals have Kyzir White and Krys Barnes scheduled to be free agents. Hewitt, almost 32 years old, is a perfect depth player to have. He played over 300 snaps both on special teams and defense.
EDGE Derek Barnett
Barnett has been connected to the Cardinals before because he used to play for the Eagles when Cardinals head coach Jonathan Gannon was the defensive coordinator for Philly and Nick Rallis, Arizona’s defensive coordinator, was Barnett’s position coach.
In a rotational role for Houston, Barnett had five sacks, two forced fumbles and two fumble recoveries he returned for touchdowns.
OL Kendrick Green
Green, an interior lineman, has 19 starts in three seasons, although has played more center. But with Evan Brown, Will Hernandez and Trystan Colon all set to be free agents, the Cardinals need depth and starters at guard.
LB Devin White
He only played seven games last season for Houston, but the Cardinals likely need to add an inside linebacker, and he is both a former Pro Bowler and second-team All-Pro. He is still only 26 years old.
LB Del’Shawn Phillips
Phillips is more of a special teams player. He has logged over 250 special teams snaps in four straight seasons.
