Hall of Fame quarterback Kurt Warner played in three Super Bowls during his career and each of those games was an instant classic. But he has some mixed feelings on a play from one of those games that a fan dubbed “the greatest play in Super Bowl history.”
Yesterday a Pittsburgh Steelers fan posted a video of James Harrison’s iconic 100-yard interception return touchdown at the end of the first half against Warner’s Arizona Cardinals in Super Bowl XLIII.
“This is the greatest play in Super Bowl History,” Matthew Luciow declared.
Warner, who threw the ball to Harrison on that fateful play, wasn’t quite as enthused about the play.
“Kind of depends on who you ask!!!!” Warner replied on X this morning.

Kurt Warner was largely able to redeem himself from that play in the second half. In the fourth quarter Warner found Larry Fitzgerald for two touchdowns to overcome a 13-point deficit.
But with just 35 seconds to play, Ben Roethlisberger found Santonio Holmes in the endzone for a toe-tapping touchdown and a 27-23 win.
Warner retired at the end of the following season and was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 2017.
Even so, reliving that play has to hurt…
