A lot of NFL players have been showing solidarity as top running backs Saquon Barkley and Josh Jacobs failed to get long-term extensions today. Among them was Arizona Cardinals quarterback Kyler Murray.
Taking to Twitter, Murray offered his sympathies to running back Saquon Barkley after the Giants star tweeted “It is what it is.”
“Wild.. hope everything work out for you bro, you deserve it,” Murray said.
Some people have interpreted this tweet as an attempt by Murray to try and recruit Barkley after this season.

The Arizona Cardinals’ running back situation is solid but doesn’t exactly inspire fear in the hearts of opposing defenses the way that Murray himself does. They ranked in the bottom half of the league in yards last year with Murray accounting for over 20-percent of their ground game in just 11 games.
If Saquon Barkley decides not to play and the Cardinals find themselves needing a running back, maybe the two parties could work something out…
Is Kyler Murray recruiting Barkley here?
