The Arizona Cardinals kick off against the Cleveland Browns in just 48 hours, but Cardinals head coach Jonathan Gannon seems prepared to wait until the last minute to decide who will start in the game.
After benching and subsequently trading quarterback Joshua Dobbs to the Minnesota Vikings earlier this week, the Cardinals were left with rookie Clayton Tune and Kyler Murray, who is coming off a major knee injury. But despite practicing with both quarterbacks this week, Gannon still isn’t ready to pick between the two of them.
“Jonathan Gannon says they haven’t decided who will start for the #Cardinals at QB vs Browns Sunday. He said they’ll likely decide on the plane today or tomorrow whether it’s Kyler Murray or Clayton Tune. Said they’ve had a good week of practice” Omar Ruiz of NFL Network wrote.
Tune has only one pass this season while Murray hasn’t even stepped into an NFL game since suffering his knee injury last season. It’s an understandably tough choice to make.

The Arizona Cardinals went 1-7 with Josh Dobbs as their starter. They’re currently riding a five-game losing streak and would have the top pick in the 2024 NFL Draft if the season ended today.
Who do you think the Cardinals should start against the Browns?
