It has been a recurring defensive theme for the Arizona Cardinals all season and it reared its ugly head again Sunday in the 36-30 overtime loss to the Panthers that ended the team’s playoff dreams.
Maybe it sounds like a broken record, but the lack of takeaways, being scorched by running backs and allowing explosive plays led to Carolina scoring 36 points (30 in regulation), only the second time all season they had reached 30 or more. The first was all the way back in Week 3 when they beat the Raiders 36-22. They reached 20 or more only six other times this season.
