Who is the breakout candidate for the Arizona Cardinals?
Happy Monday one and all.
We will have an open thread for the College Football National Championship game, with some names to watch, but the Arizona Cardinals have one player they need to step up, because they’ve been waiting on him for nearly two years.
B.J. Ojluari has dealt with a plethora of injuries in his short two seasons, but PFF has him as a breakout candidate for 2025.
From PFF:
Arizona Cardinals: EDGE BJ Ojulari
The Cardinals finished 25th in team pressure rate and tied for 30th in team pass-rush grade this season, but that came with Ojulari missing all of 2024 with a torn ACL. During his rookie season, Ojulari ranked fourth among qualified rookies with a 13.4% pass-rush win rate, generating 20 pressures on only 161 pass-rushing snaps. With Dennis Gardeck, Baron Browning, L.J. Collier and more hitting the market, Arizona will likely turn to Ojulari to provide internal pass-rushing help.
The Cardinals need Ojulari desperately to be good, so let’s hope that this is true, that he is ready to breakout.
