The 2025 Pro Bowl Games begin Thursday in Orlando, FL, with a skills competition. Before that, the league finalized rosters for both the AFC and NFC squads. Several players were added to replace those selected to the Pro Bowl, either because of injury or because their team (the Philadelphia Eagles and Kansas City Chiefs) are in the Super Bowl next week.
The Arizona Cardinals already had two players selected to the Pro Bowl. Safety Budda Baker earned his eighth overall selection and seventh straight, while tight end Trey McBride earned his first berth.
Left tackle Paris Johnson and kicker Chad Ryland were alternates, but neither ended up getting selected as a replacement.
Minnesota’s Brian O’Neill was added to the NFC team replacing Philadelphia’s Lane Johnson. Detroit’s Taylor Decker replaces teammate Penei Sewell.
Johnson might not have bene high enough on the alternate list, or he might not have been healthy enough to participate, as he finished the season on injured reserve with a knee injury.
Ryland was not needed because Dallas’ Brandon Aubrey was selected initially and will participate.
